In the 2026/27 season, many internationally and nationally acclaimed artists will join the Hungarian Radio Art Groups. To mention just a few: conductors Florian Helgath and Alexander Lüken, conductor Máté Hámori, violinist Renaud Capuçon, pianists Ilya Shmukler, Dezső Ránki and Gábor Farkas, bassoonist György Lakatos, and opera singers Dorottya Láng and Polina Pasztircsák—all are among the outstanding artists featured. The beginning of the season is especially exciting, as chief music director Domonkos Héja can conduct some of his personal favorites, such as Stravinsky’s Petrushka and Rachmaninoff’s cantata The Bells. Riccardo Frizza returns to the stage of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music with audience favorites by Beethoven, Mahler, Strauss, Mozart, Berlioz, and Kodály. Conductor János Kovács will lead Liszt’s large-scale work The Legend of Saint Elizabeth, followed by Philip Glass’s Symphony No. 5, conducted by Vajda Gergely at Müpa Budapest.
