Chamber Concert in honor of Béla Drahos’ 70th birthday

Béla Drahos was born in 1955 in Kaposvár. He is an outstandingly recognized flutist who won several prestigious prizes in international competitions at a young age. Alongside his solo and chamber music activities, he was the principal flutist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra for many years and has released several recordings. He also studied conducting and made his debut as a conductor in 1992. He was the founding conductor of the Alba Regia Symphony Orchestra in Székesfehérvár, and in recognition of his successful work, he was awarded the title of Honorary citizen of the city in 2017. He has received numerous awards, including the Franz Liszt Prize, the Artist of the Year award, the Bartók-Pásztory Prize, and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic.
